For shits and giggles I checked out Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) yesterday, aka Mother-in-law Cottage, #GrannyFlat, detached secondary suite, etc. 55.742 m² of cube. Bathtub's not big enough to stretch out in. To think I could have landed in such a place...

Front of a grey clapboard cubical ADU with a very nice and solid red door, gas chimney, and two windows facing the back of the primary building. Side-gable. Concrete path; crabgrass and dandelions abound. The back faces the alley where there are like units. The car to its right gives a sense of scale. Nice trees in the background. View is west.
SE view. A more narrow solid red door is at the corner west corner by the electrical meter and circuit box; presumably it opens to the kitchen. One small up-down window; attic louvers; a painted-over metal vent; red trim; gable. South side has one large slightly larger side-sliding window.

Part two of trying to help my mother-in-law apply for a home in modern times:
Quick "form" asking for basic details along with uploading proof of address, income and ID. It looks good enough, but when you click "upload documents" nothing happens.
